Product information
Sistemi Klein T157 solid carbide spiral cutters designed for CNC lock-case pocket machining and deep mortising in timber doors. Featuring Z2 or Z3 up-cut spiral geometry and chip-breaker cutting edges for effective chip evacuation, with diameters from 14 mm to 18 mm.
The Sistemi Klein T157 Solid Carbide Lock Case Mortise Cutter is a specialist CNC routing tool designed for machining deep lock-case pockets and mortises in timber doors.
Ideal for door manufacturers and joinery workshops, the T157 range is developed for cutting the deep, narrow cavities required to accommodate mortice locks and other suitable door-lock mechanisms.
Its up-cut spiral and chip-breaker geometry help evacuate wood chips during deep machining operations, reducing the risk of chip accumulation within the pocket.
Key features and benefits
-
Designed for door lock pockets: Developed specifically for lock-case machining and slot mortising, making it suitable for CNC door manufacturing operations.
-
Deep mortising capability: Extended cutting lengths of 95–115 mm accommodate deep pocket-machining applications where machine clearance and tool engagement permit.
-
Effective chip evacuation: Right-hand up-cut spiral geometry helps lift chips out of deep mortises during cutting.
-
Chip-breaker cutting edges: Designed to break material into smaller chips, supporting chip removal during repeated machining passes.
-
Solid carbide construction: Provides a rigid cutting tool for CNC machining of hardwood, softwood and suitable engineered wood products.
-
Z2 and Z3 configurations: Available with two or three cutting edges and cutter diameters of 14 mm, 16 mm and 18 mm.
The T157 is particularly suited to CNC door production, where reliable chip evacuation and controlled deep-pocket routing are essential.
