Describe the machine and both sites
Provide the machine make, model, quantity, current condition and operating status, together with the origin and destination. Known dimensions and approximate weight, photographs, layouts and the proposed timing help establish the practical questions that need to be resolved.
Access details should cover internal routes, doorways, loading areas and known restrictions at each site. If a machine is only being removed rather than relocated, say what is expected after it leaves the original position.
Preserve information needed after removal
Available drawings, manuals and equipment identities can be important when a machine is to be reinstalled. Note missing documentation, known faults, incomplete equipment and any previous modifications before dismantling is planned.
If reinstallation or engineering commissioning is required, include the destination and intended outcome in the original enquiry. This does not make it part of the move automatically; it allows the receiving-site scope to be considered at the right time.
Keep physical and specialist responsibilities explicit
PMI's confirmed role is physical decommissioning, dismantling and removal within the agreed machinery scope. Crane/HIAB, haulage and electrical disconnection are subcontracted. The parties responsible for specialist work, coordination, access and site readiness are established for the individual project.
The work is undertaken under the customer's authorised arrangements and agreed site access. A machinery-move service does not give PMI independent repossession or enforcement powers.
Distinguish removal from a complete relocation project
Some enquiries end with safe physical removal; others continue through transport coordination, installation and engineering commissioning at a new site. Tell PMI which outcome is required so the move is not described more broadly than the authorised and agreed work.
