PCD diamond compression router cutters for CNC nesting of MDF, plywood and faced panels. Choose from six combinations of cutting diameter and cutting length.
The Klein X528 is a polycrystalline diamond (PCD) compression router cutter for nesting operations on CNC routers. It is designed for machining sheet materials where the finish on both panel faces matters, including chipboard, veneered panels, plywood, laminates, melamine and MDF.
The range combines diamond cutting tips with a high-density Densimet® body and a dedicated plunging tip. Six sizes let you select the cutter diameter and working length required for your panel and machining setup.
- Compression cutting geometry: the Z3+3 arrangement and shear-angle geometry are designed to support a clean finish on both the upper and lower panel faces.
- PCD cutting tips: diamond cutting edges provide the working surfaces for the panel materials specified by Klein.
- Densimet® tool body: high-density metal construction provides a robust body supporting the cutting tips.
- Regrindable cutting edges: Klein specifies 3 mm tip height and provision for three regrinds, allowing servicing as the edges wear.
- PCD plunging tip: the cutter incorporates a diamond tip for plunging operations; entry settings must suit the application.
- Choice of working lengths: select 20, 25 or 30 mm cutting length in either diameter, checking panel thickness, tool clearance and holding requirements before use.

For CNC router machines. Select toolholding suitable for the chosen 12 mm or 16 mm shank; compatibility with an individual spindle, collet or holder must be checked.
Klein recommends its T139 TORNADO chip and dust conveyor clamping nut for use with this range.
