Keep the manufacturer identity exactly as written, including punctuation, option suffixes and leading zeroes. PMI's merchant SKU, where present, is a separate identifier.

Hardware and installation
Describe the mounting, display and connection requirements using the existing equipment or its documentation. Include relevant environmental conditions without guessing specifications.
Software and recovery information
Identify the installed software and any legitimately available backups. Retaining software on different hardware depends on the application, licensing and available recovery information.
Replacement or modernisation
Tell us whether the objective is to source the original item or assess a change. Do not assume an existing machine image will operate on different hardware without review.

Can I replace it with a standard office PC?
The machine application, interfaces and installation environment need assessment. A general-purpose computer is not automatically a suitable replacement.
Can existing software be retained?
That depends on the software, hardware, licences and backups. These need checking before a transfer or recovery scope can be agreed.
What if the part I need is not listed?
Send the exact part number and application through the parts enquiry route. An enquiry lets us assess the requirement; it does not guarantee that a supply route or suitable replacement is available.
